With Bluewater Beach just a short walk away from McMahan Woods, go for a swim or have fun in the sand whenever the mood strikes. You can also venture further along the shore of Lake Huron to one of Tiny Township’s other four beautiful public beaches.
Trails
Enjoy a walk, bike ride or cross-country skiing along one of the many trails in and around McMahan Woods. Or, take a short trip west to Tiny Trail, a 23-kilometre section of the Trans Canada Trail System passing over farmland, through hardwood forest and across 14 historic bridges.
Golfing
Improve your golf game at one of the 10 golf clubs within a half hour drive of McMahan Woods.
Boating
After a 10 minute drive along Tiny Beaches Road, you’ll arrive at Jackson Beach Park where you can take advantage of a free-to-use boat launch. You can also take a quick trip into Midland to use the boat launch at Midland Harbour—or let someone else do the steering, sit back and enjoy a Miss Midland Boat Cruise.
Entertainment
Take the kids out to Enchanted Kingdom Park in Midland for an adventure they’ll never forget, or head to Wasaga Beach for a fun-filled day of sun, go-karting and paintball.
Historical Sites
History buff? Visit Ontario’s first European community at nearby Sainte-Marie among the Hurons, or take a trip to Discovery Harbour, a British military base built to protect Canada during the War of 1812.
